Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookies used by the website of the Associazione Mariologica Interdisciplinare Italiana (AMI), their purposes and how to manage them, in accordance with the GDPR, Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the Italian Data Protection Authority's cookie guidelines (10 June 2021).

This is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian version prevails.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's device, where they are stored and sent back to the same sites on the next visit. They are divided into technical cookies, needed for the site to work or to provide a service requested by the user, and third-party profiling or statistical cookies, which require the user's consent.

Technical cookies used by this site

Session cookie: created only when accessing the reserved areas (administration panel or members' area) to keep the login active while browsing. It is deleted when the browser is closed or the session ends. It is strictly necessary and does not require consent.

Language cookie (uisg_lang): stores the language chosen for browsing (Italian or English) when you change it explicitly, so that it is shown automatically on subsequent visits. Duration: 12 months. It is a functional cookie, does not track the user and does not require consent.

Consent cookie (uisg_cookie_consent): if and when statistical tools are activated, this cookie will store for 12 months the choice made by the user in the banner (acceptance or refusal), so as not to ask again on every visit.

Statistical and profiling cookies (not active)

At present this site does NOT use statistical, analytics or profiling cookies, and no browsing data is shared with third parties for analytics or advertising purposes.

Should statistical tools be activated in the future (for example to count page visits), they will be loaded ONLY after the user's explicit consent given through the dedicated banner, which will appear on the first visit. Refusing consent does not limit browsing in any way. This page will be updated with the details of the tools used.

Third-party content

Some articles may contain videos embedded from YouTube, in "privacy-enhanced mode" (youtube-nocookie.com), or from Vimeo. When you view this content, the video provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy, over which AMI has no control.

How to manage cookies

In addition to the choices made through the banner (where present), users can manage or delete cookies at any time through their browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may prevent access to the reserved areas and the saving of the language preference.

For any question about cookies and data processing you can write to info@assoami.it. For more information on the processing of personal data, please see the Privacy Policy.
