Discover AMIThe Italian Interdisciplinary Mariological Association (AMI) was founded in 1990 from the dream of scholars devoted to the Mother of the Lord. Its aim is to illuminate the figure of the Virgin Mary within the theological and human sciences and to foster ecumenical dialogue, through conferences, publications and research projects.

The founding act came after years of meetings between theologians and scholars at the Shrine of Mary Queen of Hearts in Rome.
The Association’s scholarly journal, devoted to Mary in the Scriptures, the Fathers, the history of the Church and across disciplines.
AMI promotes scholarly research on the Virgin Mary within the faith of the Church, with ecumenical openness and in dialogue with the theological and human sciences; it develops theological criteria to illuminate Marian piety and encourages the study of Mariology among young researchers and pastoral workers.
